WHO WE ARE

Wetzel Engineering provides services through a team of employees, consultants and subcontractors, several of whom each individually possess decades of experience in the design, fabrication, testing, and certification of structural, mechanical, electrical, and aerodynamic systems.

We also maintain on-going relationships with two highly regarded materials testing laboratories, as well as machine shops and composite fabricators.

This team approach allows us to offer our clients a "one-stop shopping" source for all of their wind turbine design, testing, and evaluation services for the entire wind turbine system without having to contract multiple consultants. We can perform the system integration and avoid the incompatibilities which result from using multiple subcontractors.

We can also provide extensive aerodynamic and structural design services for aerospace and defense systems, including both internal and external aerodynamics.

The company's founder and President, Dr. Kyle K. Wetzel, has engineered state-of-the-art wind energy, aerospace, and defense systems since 1993. Dr. Wetzel has extensive experience in both aerodynamic and structural design, hardware fabrication, and testing, as well as full wind turbine system integration, dynamic simulation, and power performance estimation and testing.
